Terms & Conditions

All orders placed with Opera Gifts, whether via our web site or in writing, are subject to the following Terms & Conditions, and all purchases will be taken as confirmation that the purchaser has read, understood and accepts the Terms & Conditions as shown

Placing an Order
Please browse our product range using the links at the left hand side of every screen, and select the items you wish to purchase by clicking on Add to Cart. If you change your mind later you can easily remove items from your cart before confirming your order.
When you have completed your selections, click on Checkout
You will then be taken to a screen on which to enter your billing and delivery address(es). We will also ask for your telephone number so that we can contact you, if needs be, regarding your order.
Please note, all personal details supplied in relation to placing an order with Opera Gifts will only be used to process and deliver your order, and no details will be passed to any third party (please see also our Privacy Policy)
After completing the above steps, you will be asked to confirm your order, by clicking Pay Now, at which point you will be taken to our Merchant facility on Paypal.

Order Confirmation
Upon completion of your payment, you will be sent an electronic confirmation of the items you have ordered, and the total amount you have paid. This confirmation does not constitute a contract between the puchaser and Opera Gifts, and such a contract will only be deemed to exist upon clearance of your payment, and upon our raising an invoice, which will be despatched to you, with your goods.

Payment
Payment online is via Paypal, by credit or debit card. You do not need a PayPal account to purchase items. We take payment from your card at the time we receive your order, once we have checked your card details and stock availability. Goods are subject to availability and in the event that we are unable to supply, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. All payments on our website are processed by Paypal, on their secure servers. A paid invoice will be raised upon clearance of your payment, and despatched with your item(s)
You can also pay by cheque* made payable to Opera Gifts, and sent to: Rhydyberi Cottages, Merthyr Cynog, Brecon, Powys LD3 9SA accompanied by a covering letter. Goods will be despatched after your cheque has cleared, usually about 5 days.
*We recommend that you ring us in advance of placing an order by cheque / post, in order that we can check that the items required are in stock.

Postage & Delivery
Postage is charged at the standard rate of £2.50 per order, subject to a minimum order value of £5.00 (before postage) Postage and Packing is provided free of charge on all orders over the value of £30.00 (before postage) We make every effort to ensure delivery of items within an estimated 7 – 10 days from the date of your order. However delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Opera Gifts shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.

Prices & Invoicing
All prices are in pounds sterling and were correct at time of publication on our site.  We are not registered for VAT.

Damages
We hope that your goods will arrive in perfect condition, but if they are damaged or faulty please contact us in writing or by email within 7 days to arrange return of the item and exchange / refund of the purchasing cost (Please see also our Returns Policy, below).

Jewellery
The Vintage Costume Jewellery sold on this site dates by definition from some decades ago, and all items are sold as pre-owned.  Unlike modern day replicas, some pieces may therefore show some slight signs of age and wear. 
All our vintage pieces are, however, in good, clean condition, and we have taken care to ensure that all clasps, clips and other small moving parts are sound and in good working order.

Returns Policy
You may return your order for a full refund of the purchase cost under the following conditions:

The items must be returned within 14 days of invoice date (UK customers), 14 days (European customers) and 21 days (other customers)

The items must be in their original condition and unused (re-saleable) Postage will also be refunded where an item is defective, has been incorrectly shipped or as a result of an error made by Opera Gifts

If you decide to return items for any other reason we are unable to refund the cost of return postage.

Returned items should be in their original packaging and, where possible, accompanied by the relevant delivery note on which you should note down the reasons for return.

We recommend that any returned orders are sent by recorded delivery as you remain responsible for them until we receive them

Your statutory rights are not affected
